Georgia Association of Floodplain Management is pleased to announce its 19th Annual Conference, Georgia's Legacy of Floodplain Management, taking place from Monday, March 9, 2026 to Wednesday March 11, 2026. The conference is being hosted at the Lanier Island Legacy Lodge in Buford, GA.

Student Poster Contest:

This Fall, the Georgia Association of Floodplain Management (GAFM) is hosting a digital poster competition for college students. The winning posters will be printed and featured at our 2026 conference and posted on the GAFM website and social media pages.

The competition invites up-and-coming young professionals to explore the importance of floodplain management, specifically within the state of Georgia. This competition emphasizes your abilities to collect, analyze, and present data with meaningful conclusions about a topic you are passionate about. Winning posters will be accurate and comprehensive demonstrations of the results you can draw from the rich data collected in the state of Georgia each year. Participants will have the valuable opportunity to showcase their work to floodplain management experts from state and local government, as well as the private sector.
